The first game of the season is never a must-win in the National Football League, but the Chargers have a huge opportunity to get a very meaningful win this morning. The Chiefs are justifiably the favorites to win the AFC West and they are always tough at Arrowhead Stadium. If the Chargers can go in there and win a game that very few people give them a chance to win, they will make a statement that they are a better team than experts think.
With star players like Justin Houston and Jamaal Charles out for today's game, the Chargers are better positioned to come away with a victory than was expected when the schedule was announced. The Chargers, aside from players already on Injured Reserve, are healthy and will only be missing one projected starter in first round pick Joey Bosa who is on the exempt list.
The only thing left to say is, "Let's go Chargers!"
