The Chargers signed their No. 3 overall pick Monday morning. He is set to have his first practice with the team Tuesday. Bosa had been absent from the club since June, as the team and his agent worked to settle a contract dispute that largely centered on the payout of his signing bonus.

It was ugly. Maybe even the second-ugliest episode in franchise history after an attempted move to Los Angeles. Considering how little the sides were fighting over, what they essentially did was find a way to draw a line in a couple grains of sand.

"He loves to play the game of football," McCoy said. "I can’t say that enough about him.  I talked to you guys after we drafted him. The conversation we had at the combine, then when we brought him in here and how excited he was and how we thought he was going to help our team.  We have the exact same opinion right now about what he is going to do."

"Count your blessings," Kiper said. "Last year the guy a team absolutely needed to come in and be an impact pass-rusher was Dante Fowler, and he didn’t make it out of minicamp healthy. "So, that was last year’s No. 3 pick. Well, congrats, Chargers -- it’s September and your No. 3 overall pick is healthy."
