BFTB Staff League Fantasy Football Draft Results

NFL: Preseason-Arizona Cardinals at San Diego Chargers Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

This afternoon, we completed the Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football draft for the BFTB Staff League. It was a 14-team draft with full-point PPR and 4-point passing touchdowns. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 WR/RB, 1 K, and 1 DEF.

The first three picks were no surprise as some order of those three players should be going 1, 2, 3 in any competent fantasy league without bizarre scoring rules this year. The first real surprise was how early Keenan Allen went (7th overall). The owner of that team is both a Cal and Chargers fan, though, so we shouldn’t be too shocked. Also, Allen was on pace to catch all of the passes before he got hurt last year, so there’s that.

Eddie Lacy, Mark Ingram, and C.J. Anderson going ahead of Devonta Freeman was also a bit unusual, but Freeman is unlikely to repeat last year. A number of teams also opted to draft their quarterbacks earlier than most experts consider advisable these days.

Overall, nothing too crazy other than Go Bears! drafting 9 players that went to Cal. Who do you think had the best draft?

And who wants to be commissioner of a BFTB Readers league? Let us know in the comments.
