PODCAST: LT & Gates are hypocrites for the Chargers

John Gennaro, Craig Elsten and John Browner discuss the recent criticisms of Joey Bosa by San Diego Chargers legends Antonio Gates and LaDainian Tomlinson.

The San Diego Chargers front office is lack focus at the moment. Instead of focusing entirely on building a winning team that can defeat most of the NFL teams that they are set to play against this season, they are focused on building a case to defeat their 1st Round draft pick in contract negotiations.

Today, in a podcast I did with Craig Elsten and John Browner, we discussed this topic at length. I criticized Antonio Gates and LaDainian Tomlinson for their recent criticisms of Joey Bosa, and pointed out why I thought they were hypocrites. (We also talked about how the Olympics are wearing me thin and if Ricky Williams can accurately blame weed if he misses out on the Hall of Fame.)

That’s not important, though.

The best part of this podcast, without question, is Craig Elsten’s rant about growing up as a Chargers fan and turning his back on the team last year when he felt like they were spitting in his face. It is impassioned, well-worded, and perfectly on point in terms of tone.

If you want to skip ahead to just that, it starts at 22:50 on the podcast below. I can’t recommend it enough.
