When the San Diego Chargers selected Hunter Henry, the tight end from Arkansas, in the draft, it felt like the signaling of the coming end of an era. But until Gates actually leaves, he is the man in San Diego. Gates is 35, so Henry (unlike Ladarius Green before him) should get his chance. Henry said he’s honored to have the chance to play with Gates, and he should be. Gates is the franchise leader in receptions (844), receiving yards (10,644) and touchdown catches (104). He also ranks seventh all-time in touchdown receptions and third among tight ends in receptions and yards. Despite missing five games last season and playing through injuries he still was the 11th-highest-scoring tight end in standard leagues and still posted an impressive 11.3 yards per reception. Not bad for an old man. And certainly not boring.

Woodhead joined the Chargers in 2013 and made an immediate impact, setting career highs for catches, receiving yards, touchdown catches, scrimmage yards and all-purpose yards. He finished the regular season with the most touchdown catches among all NFL running backs and the second-most receptions and receiving yards.

Attaochu is on the cusp of a breakout season. He had six sacks in 15 games last season, after compiling only two during his rookie campaign. (He also compiled 21.5 total hurries in 2015.) He has impressive length and athleticism, showing off intensity with his hands and balance when engaged by blockers in space.
