Chargers sign Third Round pick Max Tuerk

The Chargers get another rookie deal done.

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The Chargers announced they have signed their third round pick Max Tuerk.

The deal is for 4 years and worth $3.23 Million. Tuerk is coming off an ACL injury he sustained last October but was running with the second team offense in Mini-Camp. Though there wasn't much contact up to that point in practice, Tuerk does look further along in his recovery than expected. He will most likely start the season behind new addition Matt Slauson on the depth chart but will eventually be the future at Center.

The Center out of USC was one of two draft picks left unsigned from the Chargers 2016 draft class. The Chargers were also the only team with two unsigned draft picks, they now join the Jets, 49ers, Titans and Cowboys still left with one draft pick unsigned.  Now we wait for the Chargers and first round pick Joey Bosa to meet on some kind of middle ground and agree to terms.
