The Chargers have waived-injured two of the UDFA's they signed following this year's draft, and signed two veterans, at the same positions, to fill their spots.
New faces at #ChargersCamp today as we've signed a pair of defensive veterans.

DE Carlos Wray and CB Terrell Chestnut were signed as UDFAs earlier this year. It is a real shame that Chestnut is hurt again and isn't going to have a chance to compete, as I expected him to be at least a lock for the Practice Squad. However, since they are being designated as "waived-injured" they will be placed on the Chargers' IR list if they go unclaimed in the next 24 hours.
To take those two spots, the team has signed veterans DT Bruce Gaston and CB Carrington Byndom. The 6'2/310lbs Gaston had playing time in 9 games last year between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears. Byndom meanwhile is returning to the Chargers after having spent a short time on the Practice Squad last season.
Hopefully this is the worst of the injuries the team has to deal with during camp.
