San Diego Chargers Training Camp Notes: Joey Bosa was a no show for day 1

Let's all over-evaluate talent in practice as we break down the San Diego Chargers Training Camp today.

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The Chargers kicked off Training Camp, which was open to the public today.

Of course the big storyline today at camp was about the Chargers 1st round pick being a no-show but Darius Philon got a lot more playing time.

An ex-Charger was also coaching the D-Line today.

There were some interesting developments on the depth chart, especially on Defense.

The Chargers 4th round pick Joshua Perry is also buried on the depth chart to start camp.

Ryan Carrethers has dropped down as well.

This was the line-up for the second team defensive line.

The Safety group got a lot of attention. Here was the order:

Adrian Phillips got another interception piling on to his already impressive minicamp.

Though Phillips got the lone turnover, there were a pair of Safeties who looked very good today.

Towards the end of the day Dexter McCoil got some snaps with the second team defense.

Some other news and notes:

The lone injury of the day (that we know of).
