This morning, the San Diego Union-Tribune's Michael Gehlken reported via Twitter that Chris Watt would likely start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

Then, this afternoon, Adam Caplan of ESPN reported that Trevor Robinson (who started most of the season last year) would also likely find himself on the PUP list.

Thankfully, Chargers general manage Tom Telesco signed former Chicago Bears interior offensive lineman Matt Slauson a couple months ago because he and undrafted free agent Spencer Pulley are the only healthy centers on the roster. The Chargers also selected center Max Tuerk out of USC in the third round of this year's draft, but he is still recovering from the knee injury he suffered five games into his senior season.
It'll be interesting to see if the Chargers are comfortable with their current depth at center or if this will necessitate a signing.
