Why all the hate on McCoy?

Hey guys, so I'll start off by saying I'm relatively new to the site (about 5 months on here) but I've been a Chargers fan all my life. With that being said I don't completely understand the Telesco/McCoy hate? McCoy hasn't won, I get that. But the situation he inherited after Norv Turner was a mess. AJ Smith and Turner ruined the team. Took a 14-2 team and made them a consistent .500 team (in, at the time, a rather poor division).

Telesco is fine in my book, he's made smart moves and had good borderline great drafts. In my mind Telesco and McCoy have done a decent job and at the end of the day my biggest knock of them is that they haven't won, but I feel that most of their time has been spent rewriting the wrongs of the previous regime and getting out from under some of the bad decisions made regarding the personnel that Turner put together. Do I personally think that McCoy is a top-five coach in the NFL, no, but I certainly don't think that he is among the worst in the league either.

I feel as though we are heading in the right direction but I see a lot of negative McCoy/Telesco talk, I was just curious to why that is? Was/am I missing something?

P.S. Love all the articles from the writers on here. Thanks guys.
