It is a little bit on the early side for talking fantasy football, but it is never too early to start planning if you actually want to win your league. Today's question assumes a standard scoring, 12-team, head-to-head fantasy league in which you hold the top pick.
We are limiting poll choices to the current top 7 in average draft position (ADP) and Other. Those top seven, in order, are:
Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Odell Beckham Jr., WR, New York Giants
Todd Gurley, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons
David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings
As the league keeps trending more toward passing offenses and running backs by committee, the top wide receivers have become the more valuable first round picks. Often, the running backs that win you your league are not the ones you had ticketed as first rounders in June-through-August, but rather mid-to-late round guys that saw greater use due to injury or game script that was not expected in the summer. That said, it's still difficult to pass on the blue-chip running backs that are actually supposed to see 20-30 touches per game.
Vote in the poll to let us know who you would draft with the #1 overall pick in your fantasy draft. Then let us know in the comments why you voted that way.
