A couple of days ago, while trying to figure out if there is any side to take in the contract negotiations between the San Diego Chargers and 1st Round draft pick Joey Bosa, I came across this tweet from former Chargers Pass Rusher Shawne Merriman...

Being the good buddy that he is, Shawne agreed to come on my podcast this morning to explain what he actually meant. While I had him on the phone, I decided to ask him what he thought of Von Miller’s threats to not play in 2016, and also got a scouting report from him on Melvin Ingram.
Perhaps my favorite answer, and I think it’s his last one (before I go into a 10 minute rant about what San Diego Padres legend Tony Gwynn meant to me), was Merriman’s own thoughts on Melvin Ingram’s alter ego YPC MEL. Make sure you stick around for that one.
