Josh Lambo's Initial Reaction to Reuniting with Drew Kaser - Ricky Henne
Kaser’s arrival is a bittersweet moment for Lambo as it coincides with the release of longtime punter Mike Scifres. During their lone season together, Scifres served as Lambo’s mentor on and off the field as the kicker believes he wouldn’t be the player he is today without Scifres’ tutelage.

"I’m so grateful to have played my entire career for one team," said Scifres. "I’d like to thank the Spanos family, A.J. Smith, Marty Schottenheimer, Norv Turner, Tom Telesco, Mike McCoy, the athletic training staff, everyone in the front office, and all of the players and coaches I’ve been with at the Chargers for the past 13 years. It’s been one heck of a ride and I wouldn’t change anything. I would especially like to thank the fans for supporting me throughout my career. Chargers’ fans are by far the best in the NFL and I’m sincerely appreciative of their loyalty throughout all the ups and downs. I’m a Charger for life and I look forward to supporting the team in the future."

Chargers' Philip Rivers expects TE Hunter Henry to play right away - Eric Williams
"He’s going to be a guy that we’re going to need to come in and contribute right away and be out on the field on a lot of the stuff we do two tight-end wise," Rivers said. "I’m assuming he’s a sharp guy and I’ve seen him catch the ball. I don’t think he had a drop last year.
