Last week, we asked you to predict which AFC West team will finish in last place in the 2016 NFL season. Of the 4633 votes cast, a plurality of 39% selected our own San Diego Chargers. Given that the Chargers finished the 2015 season with the third-worst record in the NFL, it's not a surprise that many of you think they'll repeat as AFC West cellar dwellers.
I cast my vote for the Oakland Raiders and they pulled in the second-most last place votes with 24%, so I wasn't completely alone there. Close behind with 23% of the vote were the Denver Broncos. That's a slightly higher percentage fo the vote than I thought the defending Super Bowl champions would get, but it's actually probably fair.
That, of course, leaves the Kansas City Chiefs as the team least expected to finish in last which makes sense given that they're the favorites to win the division.
Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll.
