The Chargers line was bound for another IKEA run before the veteran free agent arrived on a two-year contract this month, effectively stabilizing a position that had three centers recovering from injuries dating back to last season, including rookie third-round pick Max Tuerk (knee).

Super Bowl shouldn’t sway stadium vote - Kevin Acee (UT$)
Roger Goodell came to town for the rally that kicked off the Chargers’ signature drive last month and said a new stadium in San Diego would be a "perfect place for a Super Bowl." That sort of declaration by the NFL commissioner does not slip off the cuff. Even then, his remark was accepted with a shrug. Like, "Of course, commish."

Chargers Show Appreciation By Surprising Fans Throughout San Diego - Hayley Elwood
"I think it’s something we have to do," added Joey Bosa.  "We have to give back to those who support us.  Without the fans, we wouldn’t have anything.  We want a good showing out this season because we’re going to win games and we definitely want that stadium to be packed.  I think this is a good way to thank the fans."
