When Antonio Gates met Watt after his second NFL season, out of uniform at a Super Bowl event, he said he didn't recognize him. He couldn't believe someone who tossed around NFL behomeths could also be so sleek. Gates, an eight-time Pro Bowler, deemed Watt a freak athlete (his gifts include a contortionist's knack, that allows him to squeeze through crevices among his squattier, wider opponents). "He looks like a tight end" who happens to weigh nearly 300 pounds, said Gates.
