How Zach Mettenberger's Path Led to San Diego - Ricky Henne
"Coach Whiz called me right after," he said.  "He is the one who really broke the ice for me.  I was definitely relieved to come to a situation where the future looks good for me. That was a long 24 hours to be waiting, so it was great to hear his voice.  The first thing he asked was if I still remembered the playbook.  Fortunately, I know it really well.  He was really excited to get back to work with me.  He was the one who drafted me, so it’s worked out really well.  It’s awesome to be back with Coach Whiz and Coach (John) McNulty."

Watt 2.0? Label is unfair to Bolts rookie Bosa - Tom Krasovic (UT$)
When Antonio Gates met Watt after his second NFL season, out of uniform at a Super Bowl event, he said he didn't recognize him. He couldn't believe someone who tossed around NFL behomeths could also be so sleek. Gates, an eight-time Pro Bowler, deemed Watt a freak athlete (his gifts include a contortionist's knack, that allows him to squeeze through crevices among his squattier, wider opponents). "He looks like a tight end" who happens to weigh nearly 300 pounds, said Gates.

Landing Bosa: The Untold Story - Ricky Henne
I was watching some film on him and I remember walking down the hall to (Director of Player Personnel) JoJo (Wooden) and saying, ‘Can you imagine if we can get a guy like this?’ He made a comment to me that unless we were picking first overall, he didn’t think that was going to happen.  And I remember thinking he was probably right."

Stevie Johnson focused on staying healthy in second year with Chargers - Eric Williams
"I’m just locking in day to day, trying to keep my body right," Johnson said. "Everybody’s feeling good right now. I feel good right now, but I’ve got to maintain that and not try and see too far into the future."
