Now, Tom Telesco has earned a reputation for adding quality pieces late in the offseason, but at this point, we've already seen pre-draft free agency, the actual draft, and some post-draft free agent activity. That's certainly enough to have started forming an opinion of the offseason as a whole.
To recap, the Chargers added the following players via free agency before the draft:
- WR Travis Benjamin
- NT Brandon Mebane
- FS Dwight Lowery
- CB Casey Hayward
- QB Bryn Renner
- TE Jeff Cumberland
You probably don't need the draft recapped for you since it just happened, but in case your memories are as bad as mine, here are the players selected:
- DE Joey Bosa
- TE Hunter Henry
- C Max Tuerk
- ILB Joshua Perry
- OLB Jatavis Brown
- P Drew Kaser
- FB Derek Watt
- OG Donavon Clark
After the draft, the Chargers agreed to terms with a bunch of undrafted free agents. More importantly, they also agreed to terms on a 2-year deal with interior offensive lineman Matt Slauson.
Of course, players also left, most notably FS Eric Weddle and P Mike Scifres.
Then general consensus seems to be that this was a good offseason, but we want to know how you feel about it. Share your vote, and why you voted that way, in the comments.
