Attempting to ruin his best draft as the GM of the San Diego Chargers, Tom Telesco has selected FB Derek Watt, 6'2" 231, with the 23rd pick in the 6th round, pick 198 overall.

This is a panic move for Tom Telesco and crew. They traded up to grab Melvin Gordon and he had a bad first season. So they need to do as much as they can to help get him going this season. So what did they do? They went back and grabbed his fullback from Wisconsin, where he actually produced, to come in and try and lead the way for him. Watt is a blocking back, he provides almost nothing carrying or catching the ball. Hopefully he helps get Melvin Gordon going.

At least this is a 6th round pick, if he doesn't make the roster, not a huge deal. But going Punter and Fullback back to back in the 6th, with so many players at positions of greater need, these picks are kind of a let-down after the first 5 picks.
