Well, it appears that Tom Telesco just can't help himself and must sign at least one former Colt every offseason. This year's addition is safety Dwight Lowery.
We've agreed to terms on a three-year deal with S Dwight Lowery.

Lowery is an eight-year veteran who started out as a 4th round pick by the New York Jets in 2008. Over his career Lowery has managed to accumulate 399 tackles, 60 passes defended, and 16 interceptions, 4 of which came last season.
I am not sure how to feel about this signing without seeing the contract details. I think this may wind up dropping the Chargers out of the running for Tashaun Gipson in free agency, but I don't think it would rule them out of taking FSU S Jalen Ramsey at #3 in the draft.
Pairing this signing up with the Brandon Mebane and Travis Benjamin signings, today is off to a pretty good start for the Chargers.
