The biggest news of the day has, hopefully, not happened yet for the San Diego Chargers. However, we do have some big news to report:
Earlier today, the Chargers reportedly agreed to terms with free agent (and former Cleveland Browns WR) Travis Benjamin, as well as almost-free agent Antonio Gates!
I’m told WR Travis Benjamin plans to sign with the #Chargers when the market officially opens tomorrow. San Diego gets a dangerous weapon.

The Chargers have done an excellent job of keeping a lid on their free agent rumors so far, but here are the little nibbles that are out there:
Chargers reached out with C Alex Mack, source says, but didn't develop into major contender. Interest more a feeler. Mack is ATL bound now.

We'll keep this post as updated as possible today.
11:29am - The Chargers could be in on another former Cleveland Brown in Tashaun Gipson.
Tashaun Gipson's market is starting to heat up, per source. Chargers, Titans, Jaguars and Giants are some teams interested.

12:54pm - We have Travis Benjamin contract details and it's nowhere near the $8-11M I was afraid of yesterday!
Terms for Travis Benjamin and the #Chargers: 4 years, $24M with $13M guaranteed. $18M over the first 3 years

2:48pm - The Chargers got a Nose Tackle and a Free Safety!
Chargers add a nose tackle. Three-year deal for ex-Seahawk Brandon Mebane, team announces. Been in talks for days.
