Chargers, Antonio Gates expected to renew vows - Michael Gehlken (UT$)
"I'd love to finish my career here," said Gates, who will turn 36 in June. "I know one thing: we're going to fight despite whatever we're going through. We'll see how it goes."

Chargers initiative may boost stadium funding - David Garrick (UT$)
"There is a way to do it — they did it in Carson and another group of lawyers did it in Inglewood, so it certainly could be done in San Diego in pretty much the same way," he said. Bolts tackle seeks better FA ride this time - Tom Krasovic (UT$)
"I was coming here under – I wouldn’t call them terrible circumstances, but they weren’t what I expected going into free agency last year – so you can imagine, when I first got here, I really didn’t believe in myself too much," Barksdale said. "But being around a guy like that just inspires you to be better. If they trust me to block for this guy, I must be all right."

Chargers position outlook 2016: Defensive line - Eric Williams
The Chargers need to get more out of the team’s best every-down lineman next season. San Diego gave up 4.8 yards per carry last season, third-worst in the NFL. The Chargers also allowed a league-worst 21 runs of 20-plus yards. The Chargers got just six sacks combined from the defensive line in 2015. They need more explosive plays from this group in 2016.
