The NFL offseason is underway and here are some critical points you can look forward to and follow along as the Chargers get closer to playing more football in San Diego. One important date has already passed and that was the start date for teams to designate Franchise/Transition Tags which began February 16th. Now here are all the start dates and deadlines packed into one post:

| Feb 27th | Regional Combine - Baltimore Ravens Training Facility. (Owings Mills, MA) |
| Mar 1st | Deadline to designate Franchise/Transition Tags (1pm PST) |
| Mar 5th | Regional Combine - Minnesota Vikings Training Facility. (Eden Prairie, MN) |
| Mar 7th-9th | Teams may contact/negotiate with Unrestricted Free Agents. |
| Mar 9th | Deadline for teams to submit qualifying offers on Restricted Free Agents. (1pm PST) |
| Mar 9th | Top 51 rule: Teams must be under the Salary Cap. (1pm PST) |
| Mar 9th | Free Agency Begins. (1pm PST) |
| Mar 12th | NFL Regional Combine - New Orleans Saints Training Facility. (Metairie, LA) |
| Mar 20th-23rd | NFL Annual Meeting. - (Boca Raton FL) |
| Apr 18th | Chargers may begin offseason workout programs. |
| Apr 22nd | Deadline for Restricted Free Agents to sign Offer Sheets. |
| Apr 28th-30th | 2016 NFL Draft. - (Chicago, IL) |
| May 6th-9th | Rookie Minicamps Part 1. |
| Mar 13th-16th | Rookie Minicamps Part 2. |
| May 23rd-25th | NFL Spring League Meeting. - (Charlotte, NC) |
| June 19th-25th | Rookie Symposium. (Aurora, OH) |
| July 15th | Deadline for teams to sign Franchise-Tagged players to multi-year contracts. (1pm PST) |
*The start date of Training Camp hasn't been released yet but towards the middle of July teams are allowed to open camp for rookies and first year players, veterans don't have to report until later. Last year, the Chargers opened Training Camp on July 30, 2015.
