Chargers vs Panthers inactive report

Jatavis Brown is back!

NFL: Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

The San Diego Chargers have released their inactives list for the game against the Carolina Panthers.

Brandon Flowers is sidelined with a concussion for the third week in a row, and it might be time to think about just placing Flowers on IR for the remainder of the year. Concussions are no joke.

In better news, Jatavis Brown comes back into the active lineup today. The rookie ILB was questionable coming into today with a knee injury that had kept him limited in practice all week long, but he's been passed fit to return to action against the Panthers. I wouldn't expect a heavy workload from Brown, but I don't think 30-40 snaps is an unrealistic target.

Orlando Franklin was added onto the Chargers injury report late on Friday with a knee ailment, but he's able to suit up today. The only surprise on the list is Ronnie Hillman - the RB has been inactive for the three weeks he's been on the team. You'd expect him to know the playbook by now, so it could just be that the coaching staff like Kenneth Farrow better and feel confident with just two active RBs on gameday.
