The San Diego Chargers host the Tennessee Titans this weekend at Qualcomm stadium, and they will have to do so without some of their key players on both offense and defense.

Hunter Henry (Knee) did not practice all week and will not suit up on Sunday. That is a huge loss for the Chargers offense. Henry has been superb blocking in the run game and a dynamic threat catching passes in the middle of the field, and his absence will be felt, especially with Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates looking a bit out of synch lately. Expect to see a heavier dose of Sean McGrath this Sunday.
Looking at the wide receiver position, Travis Benjamin (Knee) and Tyrell Williams (Knee) have both been slapped with a “Questionable” tag. Both players sat out of Wednesday practice and were limited on Thursday before practicing in full on Friday. These are the Chargers two leading receivers and it would be devastating should both be unavailable Sunday afternoon. Hopefully, that won't be the case, but in the event that it does happen we would see a lot of Griff Whalen and new addition Jeremy Butler.
The Chargers will be missing both of their starting inside linebackers as Denzel Perryman (Hamstring) and rookie sensation Jatavis Brown (Knee) have both been ruled out. Neither player has been able to practice all week. This means a lot of playing time for Korey Toomer and rookie Joshua Perry. Toomer has played well since joining the Chargers and is able to hold his own in the middle. It could be a good thing that we get an extended look at Joey Bosa’s college teammate, Joshua Perry.
Jerry Attaochu is doubtful to play this week as he works his way back from an ankle injury. Attaochu did not practice Wednesday but was a limited participant in Thursday and Friday’s practice.
Jahleel Addae (Collarbone) is continuing to work his way back from surgery. He was able to practice on a limited basis every day this week, though he is listed as “Doubtful” for Sunday’s game. Adrian Phillips will likely get a majority of the snaps at strong safety. Craig Mager (Concussion) has not practiced all week as he works through the NFL’s concussion protocol and has been ruled out against the Titans.
And that does it for this weeks injury report. Some important names on the list this week, but hopefully the bolts overcome that can get the job done at home.
