Today, the last place San Diego Chargers travel to Houston to take on the first place Texans. Given the relative strengths of the AFC West and AFC South, you should not be too surprised to find the Chargers going into this game as road favorites. While Las Vegas originally had opened with the Texans as favorites, sharp money quickly pushed it the other way.
Philip Rivers, Melvin Gordon, and the rest of the Chargers offense will be challenged by a Texans defense that is one of the league's best. Luckily for the Chargers' defense, though, the Texans have the worst offense in the NFL. Brock Osweiler and co. are not an efficient unit at all, and they should set up the Chargers with advantageous field position throughout the day.
On paper, the Chargers are the better team, but the Texans do have a lot more to play for and they are coming off a game where they had a win stolen from them. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
