Chris Watt has been hindered by injuries throughout his entire short career. A knee injury put him on the Physically Unable to Perform list back in the Summer, and today the Chargers waived him with the failed physical designation according to the San Diego Union Tribune’s Michael Gehlken:
Chargers to waive C Chris Watt (knee, PUP) today with failed physical designation, source says. Bad health luck has limited 2014 3rd rounder

Watt’s tenure with the Chargers will be primarily remembered for a combination of his inability to stay on the field thanks to constant injuries, but there will also be the fact that he was unable to beat out the likes of Trevor Robinson to lock down a starting position when health was not a concern.
A third round pick in 2014, Chris Watt has been a pretty substantial disappointment. His college tape suggested that he might be able to be an effective player in the NFL, but between his health and trying to learn to play the center position, he never really even came close.
