The San Diego Chargers are beat up. They’ve been beat up all season, but to this point, their depth has mostly covered it up. Now, they’re so injured that players are starting out of position to try and cover up holes. That’s when problems arise.
Here are the guys missing today’s game, and I count four starters among them:

ILB D. Perryman
ILB J. Brown
C M. Tuerk
WR G. Davis
WR J. Butler
By contrast, I probably couldn’t tell you who any of these guys are for the Dolphins:

Healthy scratches? Maybe. I don’t know.
The Chargers have two big advantages in this game. One being that they have a bye week next week and the other being that they are at home, nearly 3,000 miles away from where the Dolphins usually play. They can, and should, lead it all out on the field and then give themselves two weeks to get their strength back to take on the Texans in Houston.
One guy that played tremendous last week and needs to show up again this week? Brandon Flowers. He’s struggled with injuries for the last season and a half, so he’ll need to stay healthy in this one and help keep the Dolphins from throwing all over the place.
