Chargers vs. Dolphins: Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 10

Taking a look at who should sit and who should start for your fantasy team this weekend.

Start

Philip Rivers has been a solid if low-end QB1 this season. The Dolphins are middle of the pack as far as allowing fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. Rivers is a solid starting option every week, and that’s no different this Sunday.

Melvin Gordon and Jay Ajayi are both very easy starts this week. They have clearly defined roles that mean they’ll see the touches and targets regardless of game script. Gordon is in the better offense, but Ajayi has the softer matchup.

Tyrell Williams and Jarvis Landry are going to be in your lineup this Sunday unless you are very deep at WR and also do not have to start more than a couple receivers. Assuming you’re in a standard league, both are WR2 caliber starts. In PPR, Landry picks up a bit more value.

Antonio Gates has been experiencing a resurgence of late and the Dolphins defense should not interfere with that. Start him unless you have an elite option available.

Josh Lambo is the kicker on an offense that is playing at home and should score points. That means he should score fantasy points for you.

Chargers have become a solid fantasy defense option. They probably won’t be able to score multiple touchdowns again, but turnovers should be on the menu.

Sit

Ryan Tannehill is nothing more than a QB2 that you occasionally consider starting against a cushy matchup. The Chargers defense are not that. Bench him unless you have no choice.

Dontrelle Inman and DeVante Parker are borderline W3/WR4 types. Inman has the better matchup and you might feel comfortable with him in your lineup if you’re in a PPR league. Parker will rely on big play potential. It’s not the worst thing ever if you’re starting them, but it’s not great either outside of a deep league.

Hunter Henry is just coming off an injury. Gates has played very well lately. If you’re starting Henry, you’re gambling on a touchdown.

Dion Sims is not a great start in a normal week. That does not change tomorrow.

Andrew Franks is the kicker for a team that cannot expect to score many points. That’s not a recipe for fantasy points either.

Dolphins have been a very inconsistent fantasy defense and the Chargers are a very good offense. You should have better options.
