And another one; Caraun Reid to the IR with a torn ACL

The Chargers have lost Caraun Reid for the rest of the season.

Can someone take this song off repeat? The Chargers have lost yet another player to a torn ACL.

Caraun Reid had been a bright spot so far this season. While he hasn’t lit up the stat sheet, he has made some splash plays (including returning a fumble 61 yards for a touchdown) and has been a solid contributor whenever he has been on the field.

Reid is a young player, only 25 years old, and should be back next season. It’s a real shame to lose him at this point, however.

What may be more of a shame is how he was hurt. He was hustling downfield to chase down a rusher and his own teammate, Denzel Perryman, came flying in from down field and as the back went down, Perryman flew over the top right into Reid’s knee. From the tape I was hoping it might just be a bad hyper extension, but I was wrong.

I’m getting real tired of this song.
