Good news, everybody!

On Chargers.com, owner Dean Spanos announced that the team will play its home games in San Diego for at least one more year.

If you've been following this story at BFTB this whole time, this doesn't really surprise you. Dean Spanos got the deal in place with the Rams, and will come back to the city of San Diego to try and negotiate a great deal for his organization that keeps the Chargers away from Los Angeles.

Spanos has leverage, he has time, and he's ready to make it work in San Diego. If it doesn't, he's got a pretty tremendous backup plan in Inglewood.

The good news is that the Chargers aren't gone. The bad news is that we're going to be in the media spin cycle over this story for another year, if not two, and there will probably be a vote (or two) and a whole lot of politics brought in as a part of it.

At least the tailgaters are happy.
