San Diego Chargers announce four new coaches

There's not a lot of new faces, just a lot of people in new places on the San Diego Chargers coaching staff.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The San Diego Chargers announced today that Ken Whisenhunt has officially signed on to return to the team at the Offensive Coordinator. Minutes later, they announces that his Defensive Line Coach when he was the Head Coach of the Tennessee Titans had also signed with the Chargers for the same position. I do not think this is a coincidence, but I also don't care that much.

I am slightly annoyed that Nick Sirianni, who was the Chargers' QB coach for the last few years (when Philip Rivers' footwork has been suspect at best) had been promoted (?) to WRs Coach, a position he held for the 2012 Kansas City Chiefs. That team's WRs were dreadful, and Sirianni was unable to develop project WRs like Jonathan Baldwin and Steve Breaston.

Overall, though, I trust in Whisenhunt to fix this team. I don't know why. Maybe I'm nuts or maybe I'm just done being pessimistic after the season we just endured, but I trust in Whiz.
