San Diego Chargers Roster Cuts: OLB Ryan Mueller

Not really a surprise cut, but Mueller is the first guy that some thought would make the San Diego Chargers roster to be cut.

Ryan Mueller has been a favorite of some of the BFTB staff, as the undrafted free agent Outside Linebacker has shown a unique ability to do the "dirty work" that used to be associated with Jarret Johnson, but the San Diego Chargers parted ways with him today and now have 18 cuts left to go to get down to the 53-man roster limit.

Mueller could easily get picked up by another team, but if he doesn't he could be an excellent addition to the team's practice squad.

The OLB group is one to watch today, as some have speculated that the team will keep 5 or 6 of them while they wait for Tourek Williams to return from his injury. Cordarro Law is likely that fifth guy, but a lot of people had Mueller penciled in as the possible sixth.

Perhaps this is a sign that Nick Dzubnar, a special teams standout who is being touted as a replacement for Andrew Gachkar, will make the team as the fifth Inside Linebacker?
