At the time of this writing, the San Diego Chargers had no yet announced the list of players that would not be playing in tonight's game against the San Francisco 49ers, so I'm going to play a little game and see if I can guess how many starters will actually get at least one snap tonight.
Let's go:
- Stevie Johnson (who is only a starter because the Chargers list 12 starters on offense)
- Branden Oliver (who probably should be the starter but isn't)
- Ladarius Green (who is only the starter for the next month)
- Sean Lissemore
- Ryan Carrethers
- Mike Scifres
- Nick Novak
That's it. I can't see them playing any other starters.
Oh, and the only one of those that could possibly lose his starting job is Novak, if Josh Lambo comes in and kicks a ball into the sun (which I'm sure counts for extra points).
