SquadCast: We Don’t Hate Melvin Gordon

Ben Higgins and John Gennaro are back to discuss the San Diego Chargers' backfield, including all of the dirt John kicked up the other day, but they definitely do not hate Melvin Gordon.

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

This week's Squadcast is almost entirely about the San Diego Chargers' stable of running backs, and for that I am somewhat sorry.

I know you're tired of hearing me talk about Melvin Gordon and Branden Oliver and Donald Brown. (I should probably talk about Danny Woodhead more.) Especially if you follow @BFTB_Chargers on twitter. Maybe this is the end of it, maybe not.

If you disagreed with my take on the Chargers wasting their first round draft pick, I invite you to listen to this podcast where I attempt to explain myself even more. If you agreed with my take, then go ahead and listen to the more in-depth breakdown of the Chargers' running back situation (as well as rating the rest of the position groups).

I will be totally open and honest with you readers, as I always am. This is not our best podcast. Neither Ben nor myself got to watch the Seahawks game as intently as we had hoped (we talk about that), and as a result there are a few mistakes in the conversation (and I even misquoted Mike McCoy at one point). Everyone needs a preseason, and this is ours, and I hope you still enjoy the podcast (I did) and will listen again in the future.
