San Diego Chargers Add DE Luther Robinson

To fill the roster spot vacated by DL Tenny Palepoi, the San Diego Chargers added former Green Bay Packers DL Luther Robinson from the University of Miami.

After placing DL Tenny Palepoi on Injured Reserve with a fractured foot, the Chargers add some depth to their defensive line by adding former Green Bay Packer Luther Robinson.

The 6-3, 301-pound defensive end appeared in five games for the Packers in 2014 after signing as an undrafted free agent. He played more at Right End than Left End in their predominantly 3-4 base defense scheme, and I don't think he played any Nose Tackle at all.

I suppose what the fans, and the San Diego Chargers, are hoping for is that Robinson can be somewhere close to the player Palepoi is, and there's reason to believe he could be. Both players are about the same size and both went undrafted.

With Don Johnson, who I think is one of the best Defensive Line Coaches in the entire league, Robinson could end up being a guy that makes this team in a few weeks. Especially if he can stay healthy.
