#Chargers OLB Tourek Williams broke his foot and will need surgery, per a source.

Man, this sucks.
I'll admit, I am not the biggest Tourek Williams fan. I was worried enough about him being the 3rd or 4th OLB on the San Diego Chargers depth chart, but now that depth chart looks a little worse.
A broken foot, with surgery, probably takes at least 6 weeks to heal. That means the regular season will start without Tourek having a chance to get back on the field or rehab at all. Due to the lack of depth at OLB, he could end up being the Chargers' IR guy with the designation to come back later in the season. Either way, I think he goes on the Injured-Reserve list sometime in the next few days.
The real bummer in all of this was how well Tourek played last night. It was, in my opinion, his best game as a member of the Chargers. He played well on special teams and looked like he had finally developed into a dangerous pass-rusher. This injury is incredibly poor-timed, but injuries happen in football and none of us should be surprised.
Get well soon, Tourek.
