Cowboys Drop Preseason Opener To Chargers By A Final Score Of 17-7 - Tom Ryle
That was basically the theme of the night, where the Cowboys generally had players lower on the depth chart than the Chargers did, or at least no better than the same level. This is very good for seeing how the down-roster guys will handle game situations, but not a way to win games. That is not at all an objective for Dallas.

Chargers Win Preseason Opener Against Cowboys - Derek Togerson
Rookie 2nd round pick Denzel Perryman, another linebacker, also had a hand in several tackles. Overall it was a nice preseason opener for the Bolts. Even the crowd, more than 58,000 strong, was solid (even though it was about half Cowboys fans).

Chargers Preseason Fantasy Football Beat - Dan Schneier
"Stevie Johnson is someone who will be very much involved," Gehlken said. "Keenan Allen will still lead the team in receptions. Malcolm Floyd had a full 16-game season for only the second time in his career in 2014. The chances that Malcolm Floyd plays another full season at 34 is highly unlikely and it would make sense to keep him fresh as the only premier deep threat. It wouldn’t be surprised to see Stevie Johnson and Keenan Allen on the field when there is only two receivers on the field."

Offseason In Review: San Diego Chargers - Zach Links
While the O-Line struggled overall, King Dunlap was one of the brighter spots of that unit for San Diego. Way back in February, the Bolts signed him to a multi-year extension. Dunlap, 30, spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Eagles before signing with the Chargers in 2013. He has appeared in and started 27 regular-season games for the Bolts, emerging as their most dependable offensive lineman.
