After having yesterday off, the Chargers hit the practice field again today in pads. As for the injuries:
Sean Lissemore is not in pads today, watching from the side
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
DJ Fluker again in at Right Guard and Joe Barksdale at Right Tackle. At some point this won't be news anymore.
First team snaps before practice: Dunlap, Franklin, Watt, Fluker, Barksdale
— Daniel Stebbins (@dstebbs) August 10, 2015
Johnnie Troutman missed a few days because of an injury but he was a full participant today.
Troutman officially taking snaps with second team was suited up on Sat but didn't get much work. He is today it's with the 2s
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Kendall Reyes and Ricardo Mathews are battling it out for first team snaps.
Kendall Reyes getting work with first team today
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
In the 2 minute drill, Ricardo Mathews had all 1st team snaps, while Kendall Reyes is getting time with the 2nd team D
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
It looks like the Chargers will rotate Mathews and Reyes into the line-up a lot like they did last year.
8 plays with first team: 5 snaps for Ricardo Mathews/3 for Kendall Reyes

A couple of Chargers Wide Receivers had a rough day today.
Titus Davis fumbles ball after a pad hit him. I can't even...
— Daniel Stebbins (@dstebbs) August 10, 2015
Inman & Davis up to 2 drops already. Can't blame Titus for the 2nd drop, throw lead hm too far out of bounds
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Patrick Robinson may be making a case for one of the best offseason additions.
Patrick Robinson just blanketed Malcom Floyd. Zero room to operate, incomplete pass
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Patrick Robinson is lined up opposite Stuckey on first team punt drills
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Another Cornerback showed some fire today.
Chris Davis down on the ground, gets up on his own power, walking slowly to the sidelines
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Pushes Patrick Robinson off & Davis takes the next snap. He wants his reps!
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Got another good practice out of Darius Philon.
Darius Philon's bull rush might be his best move I've seen from him. Got Chris Watt off balance
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Darius Philon again w/the bull rush, this time Trevor Robinson, same result. What a bully! Robinson must've seen it coming, couldn't stop it
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Other news and notes:
Second team OLBs are Cordarro Law & Kyle Emanuel. No Tourek Williams.
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
flowers looks great on coverage against Allen in drill
— Daniel Stebbins (@dstebbs) August 10, 2015
Craig Mager didn't give up any splash plays.
29 good coverage on slant
— Daniel Stebbins (@dstebbs) August 10, 2015
Craig Mager made a play on a crossing route to Jacoby Jones in the end zone. Knocks it down & ends the 2 minute drill
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
WR Javontee Herndon is having a solid showing today. Showing good concentration in traffic, soft hands
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Love seeing Jahwan getting reps. Takes run outside.
— Daniel Stebbins (@dstebbs) August 10, 2015
If the Chargers ran the Oklahoma drill at practice, two guys you would NOT want to be across from is Denzel Perryman or Darius Philon.
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
At some point OLB Ryan Mueller will get more 2nd team snaps. Too much for these OL out here
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
The first team Offense beat up on the first team Defense today.
Rivers to Allen on the quick slant for the TD
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Next play Stevie Johnson with a TD in goal line work
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
3 TDs in a row. This time Danny Woodhead. The Defense is getting worked over right now
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
The first team back on for 11-on-11s & it's a TD to Gates. 4 TDs, 4 different receivers
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
Melvin Gordon TD catch now. Rivers had all day, no defender near him. Too easy
— Garrett Sisti (@GarrettSisti) August 10, 2015
