While Philip Rivers waits to see where the Chargers will play next season and Eric Weddle decides whether or not to show up to OTA's, another Chargers free agent in 2016 is "quietly" working on an extension.
While the focus has been on Philip Rivers & Eric Weddle, #Chargers are quietly working on an extension for DE Corey Liuget. He’s a priority

The Chargers look to lock up defensive end Corey Liuget, the only constant in terms of production on the defensive line. Liuget has racked up 18 total sacks in his career with 4.5 of them coming last year with 2 forced fumbles. Corey Liuget is only 25 years old and has led the Chargers in sacks the last two seasons, so getting him a contract extension should be (and seems to be) of primary concern for the Chargers. Hopefully, this gets done quickly.
