There’s A Difference Between Broke And Bankrupt For Ex-NFL Players - Pablo S. Torre
And so my brain’s wonkiest pleasure centers lit up recently when an economist friend emailed me a PDF that bills itself as a new, "comprehensive" study of that very issue. What I wasn’t expecting was for the study — in the course of selling itself to the public — to train its sights on me.

Curtis Grant reportedly signs with San Diego Chargers as 2015 undrafted free agent - Brett Ludwiczak
What might limit Grant at the next level is while Grant is great at playing downhill, he does have some problems with change of direction, which could be magnified even more in the NFL. Also, while Grant did start a majority of Ohio State's games last year, he ended up playing less than 50 percent of the snaps on defense.

2015 NFL Draft: Titus Davis signs with the San Diego Chargers - James H. Jimenez
Having to follow Antonio Brown is no small feat, but Davis quickly showed that he had the gumption and ability to replace AB27. By the end of his illustrious career, Davis became the only wide receiver in Division 1 history to ever catch 8+ touchdowns in all four seasons of eligibility. Along the way, Davis broke CMU's all-time touchdown record and piled up 980 yards and 13 TD's in an injury-riddled senior season that saw him miss four games. Those numbers over eight games were good enough to finish first in both categories among CMU receivers that entire season.

Ball State’s Jahwan Edward Signs With San Diego Chargers - Ball State Media Relations
Edwards set the Ball State career rushing yards record in the seventh game of his senior season and ended his career with 4,558 yards.  He set the Ball State touchdowns record and the school’s career total TD mark as a junior before completing his career with 51 touchdowns – all rushing.  Edwards also set Ball State career records for most points (306), most rushing attempts (884) and was second in school history for most 100-yard rushing games (18).

New Chargers CB gets pleasant surprise - Michael Gehlken (UT$)
The Chargers drafted Mager, a cornerback from Texas State, in the third round Friday. The selection surprised many, including him who expected to be taken Saturday in the fifth. An unanticipated phone call was a fitting way to realize an NFL dream. He was due a pleasant surprise.

Mobile native Darius Philon taken by San Diego Chargers in 6th round - John Talty
Philon was part of one of the more infamous Alabama-related recruiting stories in recent memory. He committed to Alabama his senior year, but the Crimson Tide offered him a late grayshirt offer and he ultimately signed with the Razorbacks.
