QBs in Focus: Short Passing - Steve Palazzolo
The league’s best QBs were dominant in the short range, including Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Tony Romo, and Tom Brady. A big part of Robert Griffin III’s struggles came in the short game, despite throwing a high percentage of passes in that range. Surprising to see Peyton Manning struggle in this range as he ranked in the bottom half of the league.

Biggest weaknesses for AFC West teams - Scott Kacsmar (Insider)
Orlando Franklin was San Diego's big free-agent signing from rival Denver. He'll slide in at left guard, though our game charters marked him with 9.5 blown blocks that led to runs for a loss last season, second among all guards. King Dunlap had a strong year at left tackle, ranking third at left tackle in fewest snaps per blown block according to Football Outsiders charting. But the rest of the line looks like a weakness.

Verrett tops Chargers spring opener - Tom Krasovic (UT$)
Verrett manned right cornerback, Shareece Wright's spot in 2013-14. Wright, now with the 49ers, said in January that Verrett will become an NFL star -- and soon -- if he stays healthy. Darrell Stuckey on Tuesday called Verrett a "phenomenal player."

First off, it’s a young group but it is an experienced group. There are some playmakers that excite me very much, and it is exciting that their expectations of themselves are real high.  That’s a big plus.  They have a real strong desire to improve, and I think they have been well trained up to this point.
