There has been a lot of furor among Chargers fans and the media in the last few weeks. It seems the San Diego Chargers are doing everything they can to alienate their fanbase and anger their own players. Naturally, that means when the Chargers General Manager holds a press conference, a significant amount of anticipation exists leading up to the event.
That anticipation was rather unfounded as Telesco stayed true to form and provided little substance in his press conference.
Telesco easily spent the first 10-plus minutes of the press conference fielding every possible question about Philip Rivers.
Telesco: "Philip is our quarterback. It’s our plan and intent he is our quarterback well into the future."— San Diego Chargers (@Chargers) April 22, 2015
Tom Telesco: "I figure at least half of you are here for a Philip Rivers update. ... There really is no update." pic.twitter.com/Y2iPG3uyAQ— Michael Gehlken (@UTgehlken) April 22, 2015
Tom Telesco says he'll be as honest as he can today. May not going into great deal. Doesn't want to lie. "I'm Catholic. I tell the truth."— Michael Gehlken (@UTgehlken) April 22, 2015

"We're a better team w/ Eric (Weddle) & I hope he's a Charger for a long time to come. But there's a time & place for these talks." Telesco— Annie Heilbrunn (@annieheilbrunn) April 22, 2015
Los Angeles, etc.
Telesco on LA "Not naive to the fact that it's out there but luckily it hasn't affected us at all. I haven't had a player ask me about it"— Marty Caswell (@MartyCaswell) April 22, 2015
Telesco "I like where we are picking at 17."— Marty Caswell (@MartyCaswell) April 22, 2015
