Chargers Rally at Padres Game: Good Idea or Bad Idea?

Will you go to Petco Park with your finest powder blues on to try and support the San Diego Chargers' quest for a new local NFL stadium?

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The "Save Our Bolts" group, who seems to be unaffiliated with anyone or anything despite the catchy name, has organized a night of support for the San Diego Chargers staying in a San Diego Padres home baseball game.

Here's the Facebook event page, which has all of the details, but here's what it basically comes to: Fans of the Chargers that hope for the team to get a stadium deal in San Diego should wear powder blue to Monday's game between the Padres and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

I believe the hope here is for the stadium to be filled with 45,000 fans in powder blue, screaming loudly to the heavens (and the media) about their desire to support and local NFL team. As of the writing of this post, 67 people are marked as "going" to this "event".

The more interesting part of this, for me, has been the debate about whether this should or should not be done. Padres fans seem annoyed by the thought of it. I've even heard some Chargers fans that think it's either pointless or sends the message way off track. Vote below to let us know what you think.
