Sig Stats: PBE, Offensive Tackles - Kevin Connaghan
In this article we want to identify the offensive tackles who shone in pass protection, by noting those who excelled in our Pass Blocking Efficiency (PBE) statistic. PBE tallies the sacks, hits and hurries allowed by each lineman on a per snap basis, with sacks carrying the greatest weight.

Sig Stats: PBE, Interior O-Line - Michael Mountford
Going into the season the Packers had to insert Corey Linsley at center and he answered by turning in one of the league’s more impressive seasons at the position. Bryan Stork finished tied for seventh in the PBE rankings — a significant improvement for the Patriots over what they got from Ryan Wendell (95.6) the year before. The only other rookie center that did not have major struggles was the ChargersChris Watt, who, on limited snaps, put up a 97.7 PBE.

Sig Stats: PBE, O-Line Units - Jim Seki
The Titans and Vikings were the only teams to average more than two sacks per game. To make things worse, both teams attempted fewer passes than the league-median. The Dolphins allowed the most QB hits in the table below but were third-worst overall. Interestingly, the AFC Championship game featured the bottom two teams in terms of QB hits allowed, the Colts with 52 and the Patriots with a league-high 61. The Saints ranked 22nd in overall PBE but allowed a league-high 146 hurries. Unfortunately for the Dolphins and Vikings, they were the only two teams ranked in the Bottom 10 in all three sub-categories.

Off-season Primer: AFC West - Chris Burke
Flowers was the steal of free agency last year at $3 million. The one-time Chief exceeded that value with his play for the Chargers, which will force San Diego to raise his salary if it hopes to keep him. Re-signing Flowers before free agency opens should be the plan. No shortage of teams will come calling once they're able.

Petaluma police Lt. Dan Fish said an investigation found no indication of trauma or foul play. An autopsy was performed Tuesday but authorities were awaiting the results from toxicology tests before making a final determination, Fish said.

Verrett, Watt Stress Importance of Combine - Ricky Henne
Regarded as the ultimate job interview, more than 300 prospects will run a litany of tests examining their physical skills and mental acumen.  Everything they do from the minute they arrive in Indy will go a long way toward determining where, or if, they fit in to a team’s future plan.
