Somehow, they may have been the ugliest game the San Diego Chargers have played all season long.
The Chargers fought with the Oakland Raiders to see which team could make the most mistakes, punt the ball the most time, and generally try to give the game away via stupid penalties.
Philip Rivers, along with the Chargers defense, played a fantastic game. It was the fumble by TE/FB David Johnson that allowed the Raiders to grab the lead with just 4 minutes left in the 4th Quarter. Injuries did the rest, taking out half of the offensive line and most of the starting secondary for the Chargers.
Derek Carr was inconsistent, but performed when he needed to, and looks every bit the role of a future franchise QB.
In the end, the Raiders were the game's victor, and will face the Kansas City Chiefs next week for a chance to finish 8-8 overall. The Chargers will travel to Denver in an attempt to play spoiler for the Broncos.
