Chargers-Chiefs Hangover: Offense, defense, and … who cares? - Annie Heilbrunn (video)
The offense is stuck in quicksand, the defense may be on the rise … but … does anyone care?!

Clutch Encounters: Week 14 - Scott Kacsmar
The Chargers had a full five minutes left to drive 89 yards for the tying touchdown, and they sure tried to squeeze out every last second to do so. San Diego actually snapped the ball 13 times in the last 54 seconds, if you can believe that. Things looked poor early with another sack, but Floyd redeemed himself with a great 41-yard catch on third-and-14 over Peters again.

Todd McShay: Chargers select DT Robert Nkemdiche in first mock draft - Eric Williams
However, the Chargers are risk-averse and will not take someone like Nkemdiche this high if he cannot stay out of trouble. I know No. 3 is high to take a defensive back, but with Eric Weddle likely moving on free agency, I think adding a playmaker in the back end of San Diego’s defense like Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey makes some sense.

Scouting Report: Chargers vs. Dolphins - Ricky Henne
A young nucleus on defense looks to make it a third straight strong effort when they face Miami. After securing an interception in each of the last two weeks,  Jason Verrett also looks to make it three in a row to push his team-high tally to four.  Manti Te’o leads the Bolts with 80 tackles, while Melvin Ingram (6.0) and Jerry Attaochu (5.5) pace the squad in sacks.

X's and O's: Jason Verrett (Again) and Kyle Emanuel Sniffs Out Reverse - Chargers.com (video)
Defensive Coordinator John Pagano breaks down two outstanding plays, one from Jason Verrett and the other by Kyle Emanuel and the young linebacking corps.
