The former Harding wide out went undrafted and was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs before getting released. Luckett had 0 catches in the preseason and worked out for multiple teams this week before landing with the Chargers.

The 6'0"/211 lbs former Division 2 star had a total of 2,825 yards with 19 total career touchdowns. Luckett is a track star and I mean that literally, he ran track at Harding and holds the school record for the 100M with a time of 10.44. He showed his speed at the combine when he ran 4.37 40-time. He's a wide receiver who eats up yards in a hurry which he generates with his strong lower half. He also has some experience returning kicks in college as well. One thing he did show in college is that he is very strong blocker; he locks up with defenders and uses his base to drive players back. Or does this:

This move most likely means two things: One of either Stevie Johnson or Macolm Floyd are going to miss some time and either Wide Receiver Javontee Herndon or Tyrell Williams will get called up and added to the roster.
