Denzel Perryman made his first career start in place of inside linebacker Manti Te’o (ankle). The rookie second-round pick forced Packers running back Eddie Lacy to fumble in the fourth quarter. Outside linebacker Jerry Attaochu was the nearest man, but he could not recover. They punted on the drive. “I tried to get on it,” said Attaochu, who had two sacks for the second time in three games. “It squirted out. It happens.”

“It kept pulling me,” Allen said of the hip, which forced him to the locker room for evaluation before he reentered the game briefly. “I couldn’t really run like I wanted to. … (The matchup) was kind of fun. We knew they were going to play man, so that’s when I lick my chops to see if they could cover me. I seemed to be getting open pretty good today.”
