The Chargers reached an injury settlement with Vincent Brown today. This is his 4th year as a pro and he just couldn't stay healthy. Per Michael Gehlken, the team reached a settlement that will pay Brown 2.5 game checks. If he gets healthy expect teams to start working him out and for him to get signed soon. Brown is a better fit in a timing based, vertical offense. There's no denying he's a talent, and I think we're all rooting for him to get picked up somewhere.
Injury Report
It was reported that this morning Antonio Gates tweaked his hamstring him practice. This is terrible news as he's one of the more important players in this offense. As of now, he's 50/50 on playing Monday night. It appears to be a game time decision.
Probable:
- Keenan Allen(ribs)
- Jason Verrett (shoulder)
Questionable:
- Antonio Gates (hamstring)
- Jahleel Addae (hamstring)
- Lawrence Guy (shoulder)
- Sean Lissemore (ankle)
- Manti Te'o (foot)
It should be noted that that Te'o, Guy and Lissemore practiced in full today, though listed questionable. Addae hasn't practiced all week and is a big part of the defense.
Out:
- Chris Davis (ankle)
Keep an eye on the players that are questionable, 4 of those guys are starters that play significant roles on this team. We will keep you updated as we get closer to game time.
