Chargers' Mike McCoy: Poor execution hampering run game - Eric Williams
One of the things McCoy could focus on is getting the ball to Branden Oliver more. The undrafted rookie free agent finished with 56 yards on 13 touches, and could be a guy who can create explosive plays if given some space by the offense line.
Audibles at the Line: Week 4 - Luke McKenna
Aaron Schatz: Brandon Flowers played terribly in the slot last year, but he just picked off Blake Bortles by jumping a route covering Cecil Shorts in the slot. Cian Fahey: Flowers' health has been huge. He looks so much more comfortable this year than he did at any point last season.
Chargers Defense Comes Through in Big Way - Ricky Henne
"We shored up some things defensively and we came out in the second half and wanted to shut them out," he said. "That’s what we did….We made solid adjustments in the second half. I think (it’s) the familiarity of what they’re trying to do in attacking us defensively, and our offense is playing well in the second half. So you combine all those things and you communicate and keep everything in front of you. We didn’t give up any big plays in the second half and kept everything in front of us and we came up with two picks. If you do that, you’re going to give yourself a chance to win and that’s what we did."
Royal, Allen Deal Dynamic Duo - Hayley Elwood
"It was definitely fun," Allen said. "Just being everywhere that I was supposed to be with Philip throwing me the ball and me coming down with it and making plays."
Rapid Reaction: San Diego Chargers - Eric Williams
Cornerback Brandon Flowers corralled his first interception as a Charger -- and the first interception of the season for San Diego -- in the third quarter. Flowers dropped an interception against Buffalo this past week. Eric Weddle added to that total with another interception with 3:40 left in the game.
